House Bill 1325 amends the Arkansas Public Employees' Retirement System (APERS) to allow members to count service time from certain alternate retirement plans toward their APERS eligibility requirements. To qualify for this service credit, the employee must not have vested in the alternate plan and must not have received any payments or withdrawn contributions from that plan. The member is required to provide official documentation from their employer and the alternate retirement plan to verify these conditions. The Executive Director of APERS has the final authority to determine if the provided documentation is sufficient and if all statutory requirements for the credit are satisfied.
